The Protein Prowler Application version 1.2 was trained with the same dataset as TargetP. This dataset is available on the TargetP web site.
The PTS1Prowler Application was trained with a dataset obtained from Swiss Prot Version 45. It consists of positives and negatives which both contain the general PTS1 targeting motif. The development of this dataset is described in detail in this document.
